The wide population range of the Florida panther has dramatically decreased. The Florida panther has been chronologically ranged across the southeastern United States. Some of the states in which this species can be found are the following: Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and some parts of Tennessee and South Carolina. |
Due to the declining population of panthers, the animal can only be found in the southern tip of Florida. The Florida Panther can be identified by many names. Some of this names are: puma, cougar, mountain lion, painter, catamount and panther. |
